I am sure by now you are familiar with the term Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or SLS. SLS is a type of surfactant, or the ingredient that makes the shampoo lather. It is utilized for its ability to remove dirt and oil, but has been found to leave the hair and scalp stripped, dry, and sensitive. We do not use SLS or harsh chemicals in any of our bars, and have recently come out with new, completely sulfate-surfactant free bars as well! Your hair and scalp have a natural pH level of 4.5-5.5. This acidic balance helps prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi and keeps your strands protected. While many shampoo and conditioner bars (and liquids) are not pH balanced, we are happy to share that our new shampoo bar has a pH of 4-5.5 and our new conditioner bar has a pH of 5-5.5. These levels help support your natural pH balance and promote strong, healthy hair!
